ABOUT REACHING UP, REACHING IN, REACHING OUT It is our passion to reach the community and introduce theme to the love of Jesus. We support, equip, and encourage Christians to do the same. We believe in being REAL. speaking a RELEVANT word, and meeting supportive RELATIONSHIPS with people that you can consider family. We believe a "reaching up, reaching in, and reaching out" plan for reaching the community. In this, we believe when reaching the community we must first "reach up" to God focusing completely on him. We understand that it is impossible to reach the community without God. Next. After reaching up, we believe it is important to "reach in". We must reach whith our church and support, equip, and train them to reach the community. The needs those in the church have to be met if they are the ones who are reaching the community. After we have reached up and reached in, it is then that we are able to "reaching out" to the community. Read about our beliefs >>> OUR STORY The Gathering was launched in July 2004 in Pastor Ray and Jan Hollis’s home, as they shared their vision with their core group. The Gathering quickly began meeting (with a live Praise Team) at The Hilton and the Country Inn of Oklahoma City. Within a few months The Gathering began moved to Independence Middle School.  In November 2007, The Gathering moved to the new John Marshall High School.  In November 2008, The Gathering moved to it’s beautiful permanent location at 8601 NW Expressway in Oklahoma City.
